Reality Check

Warning – personal, potentially boring, post ahead… So, this isn’t necessarily a fun post to type, but it’s an honest, much needed one. It’s probably no secret that having a baby in your midish-late thirties is a little harder on your body. It’s even more so if it’s your third child (all from within your […]

Lynsy - I LOVE the weight watchers apps. I lost 35 lbs in 6 months with it and haven’t tracked in over a year but have kept all the weight off. I am not a fan of meetings. I don’t need to hear that the gum that claims it tastes like Strawberry Shortcake really does taste like it. It doesn’t and that woman lied.

However, that said, I know I need someone weighing me to hold me accountable. I found a Weight Watchers place that had open hours just for weighing in and did that weekly. It held me accountable enough and updated my app but I didn’t waste an hour.

Gail - You can DO this April, I know you can! So proud of you for getting serious about things and girl, I know EXACTLY what you mean. It is not fun to want to get dressed when you feel like your clothes are fitting tight (or not at all!) And oh MAN do I wish I could go to that Pilates class with you. That looks AMAZING!

Blue

Yes, I’m still alive. Just buried under piles of laundry, housework, & children. Ok, maybe not a pile of children, but a pile of responsibilities pertaining to them. Anyway, I took this picture of Matilda & her big blue eyes in her exersaucer the other day & thought I’d share. She’s obviously changed a lot […]

Hollie - She’s so beautiful! Love to see a post from you…hurried, stressed, busy or not ;)

APRIL - Aw, thanks, Hollie!

Identity Crisis

I started this blog because I thought it would be great to have a single place to put all of the cool things I’ve found along with some personal style & home design posts. I went into it pretty blindly, without a solid plan. I just wanted to enjoy it and have fun. It was […]

Jenn - Good for you, April. That’s a similar approach I took to my blogs..my FSGS blog is sheerly for me to vent my frustrations. I write my personal blog as documentation of what our life was like for Izzy. My hope is that, when she’s older, I can present her the printed book versions of the blog so she can see what life was like for us while she was growing up.

I think this will be a great adventure for you:)

Tina - Yay! Excited to read more posts from you!

Carly Tati - Congratulations April! You put up a post and wonder how anyone will find it. Will they like it? But I think that if you feel you have something to say, then that’s what the blogosphere is for and I’m sure it will be interesting.

Jenn, the commenter above- what a wonderful idea to create a printed book of the blog, amazing:)

Cheers to you April, I’ll be following.

Maya Laurent - Awesome April! Way to open yourself up and have this be a place for us to see the real you!

Hollie - Yay! Can’t wait to see more ;) and that picture is Gorgeous!
